Thanks in advance, sorry for such a long post. Pi model 3 - Jesse, Kodi 15.2, mpeg2 licence Pi model B+ - Jesse, Kodi 15.2, mpeg2 licence I have currently run out of ideas of what to try and would be very grateful for any light that could be shed on this. I have tried overclocking the GPU - no difference, increasing the GPU memory as high as 512MB - no difference, using Ethernet connection - no difference. My ancient XP laptop is always perfect so I am certain the Tvheadend is OK.

Using the GPU gives scrambled random video, software decode is OK. Thinking there was a fault with the GPU or some problem between the Pi 3 and Kodi, I installed Kodi on my model B+ (Jesse) and to my surprise the results were exactly the same. Switching off hardware acceleration and the video is again watchable. Enabling hardware acceleration in Kodi produces complete scrambled multicolour video rubbish ! I have set the GPU memory to 160MB. I then bought mpeg2 licences for all 3 of my Pis.

Using HDMI on the TV at 720p (it defaulted to this) the video and audio was fine if a bit jerky and low definition at times as it was doing software decode of the mpeg2 stream, using around 50% CPU. I setup a Pi 3 with Raspbian Jesse and Kodi using kodi-pvr-hts as the PVR. This works fine, I can receive (UK) SD TV with no problems on my XP laptop using VLC via the wifi. I have a Model B Pi with up to date Wheezy running Tvheadend. I apologise if it has been covered before. This one has me completely stumped and I can find no mention of it anywhere on the internet.
